Just Keep Climbing is a physics platformer where you click on blocks and build a tower while escaping the lava.  It was made in only 2 days for the GMTK 2026, but then recently updated.

UPDATE

This update includes improved lava graphics, camera fixed, tutorial added, more block types made, more music, movement refined, and more.

CONTROLS

Hold and drag objects -> Left Mouse

Move -> WAD, or Arrow Keys

Jump -> Space, W, or Up arrow (Hold Longer for higher jump)

  

-> VERY HEAVY, BE CARFULL, CAN DESTORY BUILD MAKE SURE TO WATCH OUT

 

-> STAND ON TOP FOR BOOST

I think, that this is an interesting concept, but the tutorial should be more interactive, pixel art really shouldn't be stretched in the way it is here, the player/ground/lava does not fit in with the style of the blocks (there are lots of mixels), the spiky blocks should maybe also hurt the player. You should maybe also give the player some animations and add some more polish to the game overall.

Also if you are trying to get it on the google play store, like you said in your post, how are you going to make it mobile compatible, you have to use WASD to move and clicking is already for dragging blocks, so that would probably be hard to make mobile friendly.

I do really like having a map though.

Thank you for the detailed report. I should most likely fix some more things, but for now I am happy moving into my next game :D 3d is my preferred type of game so I am not that used to 2d. My next game is a Minecraft + doom game which I am planning on releasing on steam!
